Nigel Is Missing ………

OMG …. there is no way to put this gently …..we’ve lost Nigel, really, really lost him, not pretend funny lost, but lost lost !!!!  Darrell and I just are beside ourselves with worry.
Darrell and Nigel went into town after work, and the last time Darrell saw Nigel was when they were in UKDiscount in the Mander Centre. Darrell was ready to head home, but Nigel was lingering over some solar powered garden lights for our renovations du jardin and said that if Darrell wanted to go on ahead he would make his own way home as he also wanted to pop into Poundland to see what they had got of a solar powered nature,  so Darrell thought nothing of it and caught the Banga bus home.
But, when Nigel wasn’t back by 5 o’clock we both began to feel a little on edge ….. at half past five our stomachs began to churn and at six, that was it …Darrell just projectile vomited, EVERYWHERE,  like something out of The Exorcist,  blaming himself for not waiting and leaving Nigel ….. to face the world alone!!!!!!!
We have just sat in silence, what is there to say?  Every tiny tap sends us running to the door ….. but the phone has remained silent. Darrell has retraced his and Nigel’s last moments over and over again, and other than Nigel defecting and going back to Reykjavik, he decided to try phoning UKDiscount, the last place he had definitely seen Nigel ….. but it’s late and the phone is just ringing out ……
………. and Darrell is inconsolable, too inconsolable to even cry …….. I don’t think we will get any sleep tonight, but I have told Darrell that we mustn’t give up hope and that we will start phoning again as soon as it gets light ….. praying that Nigel is OK and safe and not hideously frightened!

Mr. D is remaining calm and collected in this crisis, and wish I could!....I say notify Scotland Yard pronto and get volunteers on horseback (for the rural areas in case he saw something interesting and followed his curiosity) and foot to scour every inch!.....posters on utility poles and handed out door to door; "have you seen Nigel" the byword far and wide!!...desperately hoping his Iceland exploring has given him an intrepid spirit and he found something to explore.....hoping all is well and there is a simple explanation; could he have gotten locked in a store?.....dear, oh dear, where is Nigel?...worried Dianne
