Cornish Blood Isn’t Wolverhampton Blood!

Nigel says he doesn’t think he will ever get over being so close to the unbridled pleasures of the sea. He can see it from his bedroom window and then it’s only a brisk 5 minutes walk down the road……. and, it seems, he is taking robust advantage of its said closeness.
Yesterday decided to take himself off to investigate Bude’s salt water swimming pool ………
He told me that he had never seen anything so wonderful, and cussed again that he’d forgotten to pack his speedos, as he has never ever swum in a salt water pool before. He said that he even wondered whether he should just throw caution to the wind and go for a swim in his pants ……
…… especially when he saw that there were people already braving the water.
But, swimming in your underpants can have consequences he decided, so he just embraced the moment  and the spectacular view …….
…….. and vowed to always make sure he had his speedos about his person  wherever he was from now on in, lest any other  unexpected swimming opportunity should arise, and show him found wanting!
I have to say, it’s a brave soul who embraces the sea in October, and have told Nigel to stop beating himself up about it.
Cornish people are born with the sea in their blood and most likely it’s much thicker than our own Midland blood, coupled with the fact that it probably contains  an innate sort of antifreeze mixed in with it.  If Nigel really wants to swim amongst the locals, he should, if he is asked again, take his next holiday in Bude, in the summer ………. and then I would advise him to get measured up for a wetsuit!!!!

Go on Nigel - just straight in, no messing about.
Pants are fine.

Wise decision, Nigel could have ended up with hypothermia.

Dear Nigel is becoming a genuine Cornish sea lover...the presence of the sea has certainly made an impression ...... Nigel's attachment is understandable because there's nothing quite like gazing out across the sea.....Dianne
