Do They Know It’s Christmas?

Nigel’s beloved swanlings still continue to thrive and are still very much a devoted family unit  ……..

……. Mum, Dad and the “babies”.

So he was really chuffed to see them yesterday, on the cusp of Christmas, as they don’t often swim up as far as The Towers ……..

He was a bit upset that he hadn’t got any of his swan food on him or enough time to nip up to said Towers to get any before they disappeared under the bridge  …..
IMG_6207 ……. but instead he wished them all a very Happy Christmas, just in case they know what a very special time it is ……. and if they did, he then mused as to what the babies would ask Santa to put in their watery stockings on their very first Christmas …….. what is he like?

Seeing as they are cygnets, they could ask for signet rings.

HaHa Mr. D......it's so lovely to see their progress.....hope you continue to see them during 2018 and beyond. Not to make you sad at this special time of year, and I hesitate to tell you this story but.....maybe it will show how lucky your family are. My friend was watching a similar story unfold on a wildlife pond near where she lived. The family of swans were doing very well but suddenly the female swan died. (natural causes the warden said) The father has continued to raise the cygnets and they are all doing very well. Happy ending! JantheFan x
